So I haven't picked up a paintbrush in years. What finally broke the cycle? This:

Obviously a work in progress being as he's in pieces. It's a Munny from www.kidrobot.com. I'd never seen one and when I ran into them at Dick-Blick the other day I had to paint one. Unfortunately I learned the hard way that pigment ink NEVER dries on vinyl. At least not the ink in Micron pens. So... I painted over it with Acrylic. He's not perfect, but he's cute so far. Yay for art that is mine and not other peoples!
Speaking of other people's art, next week is our 60% off + 10% off the sale price framing sale at Michael's. I hope we're busy. The last sale we had didn't go over so well and we were getting beat down by corporate for it. This is the sort of thing that makes me uninspired and artless. Jerks. But if you have something to frame, go to Michael's next week and take advantage. You'll be helping some poor sales clerk avoid a smack-down lol.
